Passing qualifying entrance tests is necessary to gain admission to a PhD program in computer science and engineering » (CSE). The GATE, UGC NET, and CSIR NET are well-known national exams that evaluate students' research skills and understanding of fundamental computer science topics. Institute-specific tests, including JEST and CEED for interdisciplinary applicants, are also administered by prestigious universities like IITs and IISc. In order to examine possible researchers, a few of universities now administer their own entry exams. Among them, JIIT offers candidates a unique chance to pursue advanced research in CSE by holding its own PhD entrance exam twice a year. Academic success can be attained via preparation.
